The Alb valley is lying in Northern Black Forest and is the northernmost of the westward facing valleys of the western Northern Black Forest. As the name suggests, the Alb, north of Karlsruhe flows into the Rhine.

- The name "Teufelsmühle" goes back to a legend according to which a miller had made an agreement with the devil and - as in such legends - the clever miller outwitted the devil. Out of anger about it, the devil destroyed the mill, as you can see from the boulders lying around. At the top of the Teufelsmühle there is an observation tower and a hiking home. There is also a hang-glider take-off point for the Teufelsflieger Gernsbach.
- The "Plotzsägemühle" was a water-powered sawmill on the Alb. It is located in the Gaistal by the Landgasthaus zur Spechtschmiede on the Zieflensberg. The term plot comes from the Baden dialect. Something plotting means something to plop, drop it loudly, e.g. B. an apple

- To go biking:
- On the left side of the valley, seen up the valley, there is a partly paved bike path from Busenbach, on which you can walk about 40 meters above the valley for 15 km Bad Herrenalb can drive.
