Anfo is located on the western bank of the Idro lake. The municipality is crossed by the Re stream.
Background
The Rocca d'Anfo has always had a great defensive importance: first for the Republic of Venice, then for Napoleon and therefore for i Galibardini who used it as a base during the second war of independence.

The Rocca d'Anfo
- 1 Rocca d'Anfo. considered the flagship del Lago d'Idro, contains a lot of history: it was built by Republic of Venice, was restructured by the French during the Napoleonic period and, during the third war of independence, the garibaldini they used it as a military base.
- 2 Parish Church of SS. Peter and Paul. Erected in the 15th century, it was definitively completed at the beginning of the 20th century. On the apse was found a fresco dating back to the sixteenth century attributable to the Romanino school depicting the crucifixion.
- Oratory of S. Antonio.
- Liberini House, Via Montesuello. With a fresco from the end of the 15th century with the Madonna in trunk with the child holding a bird in his hand.
- Sanctuary of Sant'Antonio. Dating back to the 14th century, it contains wall paintings of great value from the 14th and 15th centuries.
- Fort of Cima Ora (1539 m a.s.l.). A fortification, now in ruins, dating back to the First World War.
