It leads from Słubice / Frankfurt an der Oder on the German border via large cities such as Poses and Łódź to Warsaw. It is planned to expand the motorway further to the Belarusian border. It crosses the motorway at Łódź Autostrada A1going in a south-north direction from Jastrzębie-Zdrój to Danzig runs.
background
The A2 was built in the Third Polish Republic. Today the A2 from the German border to Warsaw has been fully developed.
In Poland there is no vignette requirement for cars under 3.5 tons. However, there are some toll areas around Poznan. The toll can be paid in cash or with a credit card. Vehicles with a total weight of more than 3.5 tonnes must carry a box with them and also pay a toll on the toll-free sections. The rest areas are all very spacious, well-kept and clean.
