Bad Krozingen is a city in the south Breisgau, it lies in the Rhine valley and is surrounded by vines, strawberry and asparagus fields. The city is known nationwide for its heart center and the spa with several rehab clinics.

The place was first mentioned in a document in 808. Until 1806 Krozingen belonged to the Upper Austrian Breisgau, after which the place became part of the Grand Duchy of Baden.
In 1911, oil was drilled in the Upper Rhine Plain. One came across thermal water. Soon afterwards the spa was opened, and in 1933 Krozingen was given the title “Bad”.
In the course of community reform around 1975, the formerly independent communities of Biengen, Hausen an der Möhlin, Schlatt and Tunsel became districts of Bad Krozingen.
Neighboring places are Breisach on the Rhine, Schallstadt, Ehrenkirchen, Staufen im Breisgau, Heitersheim, Eschbach and Hartheim as well as the Freiburg Munzingen district.

The 1 Bad Krozingen train station is on the Rhine Valley route Freiburg-Basel, only regional trains stop. The Münstertalbahn, one of the SWEG operated branch line, goes from Bad Krozingen station via the 2 Bad Krozingen Ost stop to Munster Valley.
