- Braunschweiger Land Geopark. The Geopark Harz - Braunschweiger Land - Ostfalen includes nature parks and other nature conservation areas in resin, in the Braunschweiger Land and Ostfalen with Elm and Drömling in an area of about 100 × 120 kilometers.
- 2 Elm-Lappwald Nature Park
. The mountain ranges of Elm and Lappwald lie southeast of Braunschweig. The hilly landscape is ideal for cycling and hiking tours.
- 3 Warberg Castle. Well-preserved castle complex from the 13th century.

- Eulenspiegel hiking trail. The circular hiking trail from Schöppenstedt via Kneitlingen to Ampleben leads through the region where Till Eulenspiegel was born.
- 5 Imperial Cathedral in Königslutter. Romanesque basilica from the 12th century with the burial place of the German Emperor Lothar III.

- The Brunswick Mumme is a thick malt extract that is used today to refine food and drinks.
- As Brunswick sausage many types of sausage are called. In the area, it is a spreadable smoked coarse pork sausage, with or without garlic.
- Brown cabbage with Bregenwurst comes on the table after the first frost. The vegetable is a subspecies of kale and is called brown cabbage here because it turns brown when cooked. Bregenwurs is a raw or lightly smoked sausage. Potatoes are also eaten.
- Uhlen un Apen (Owls and monkeys) are a sweet pastry that goes back to a legend about Till Eulenspiegel.
