Chile Chico is a small town on Lake General Carrera in the Región de Aysén in Chile. It is right on the border to Argentina and the neighboring city Los Antiguos. The second largest lake in South America has a particularly mild microclimate in the eastern part, where Chile Chico is also located.

By plane
The place has only one small airport, the Aerodromo Chile Chico (SCCC).
By bus
There are bus connections from Cochrane, Coyhaique, Puerto Río Tranquilo and from Los Antiguos (Argentina).
In the street
The place can be reached via a 115 km long cul-de-sac from the Carretera Austral can be achieved. The cul-de-sac branches off at the south-western end of the lake and then leads on the south bank to Chile Chico. There is a lot going up and down on a rather poorly gravel road.
Of Argentina is the place over Los Antiguos to reach that via the paved Ruta Provincial 43 with the city Perito Moreno to the Ruta Nacional 40 is connected.
By boat
A shorter connection to Coyhaique or to the north of the Carretera Austral there is a ferry connection to the north side of the lake Puerto Ibañez. This place is at Villa Cerro Castillo connected to the Carretera Austral.
