The Coraya Bay, Arabic:خليج كورايا, Chalīǧ Kōrāyā, Coraya Beach, كورايا بيتش, Or Madinat Coraya, مدينة كورايا, „the city of Coraya“, Is a holiday resort on the egyptian Coast of Red sea (Red Sea Riviera) about 67 kilometers south-southeast of el-Quṣeir and about 8 kilometers north-northwest of Port Ghalib. The place invites you to swim and dive.

Several hotels are located north and south of the bay 1 Marsā Umm Garīfāt, مرسى أم جريفاتWhich was used as a ship berth in the past and is now marketed as Coraya Bay. Originally the hotels were located on Coraya Bay Marsā ʿAlam expelled. The resort now has its own independence.

Diving and snorkeling
In Coraya Bay there are extensive house reefs north and south of the bay, which reach to a depth of about 40 meters. The reefs can be reached by boats, rubber dinghies or directly via jetties. The underwater world includes corals and the reef inhabitants and turtles native to the Red Sea. Large fish are rather rare.

The diving center is managed by Sandra and Jens Weckert. The training takes place after SSI, PADI and CMAS in German, English, French and Italian. Three boats are available for half and full day excursions. Diving trips are at about 15 dive sites between Zerib Kebir at el-Quṣeir to Schaʿb Samadai southeast of Marsā ʿAlam offered, including Abu Dabbab, Umm el-Ros, Schaʿb Samadai and that Elphinstone Reef. Swimming, bathing
Most of the hotels, with the exception of Jaz Dar al-Madina, are located directly on the beach. At the edges of the bay are the Steigenberger Coraya Beach in the north and the Jaz Solaya, Jaz Lamaya and the Jaz Samaya Resort in the south. The guests of the Jaz Dar al-Madina can use this shared beach. The other hotels are located outside the bay and have a beach to the east, directly by the sea.
The coral reefs begin directly on the beach. In the middle of the bay you can also go into the water via the beach. Otherwise you can reach the open sea via footbridges. At the Steigenberger Hotel, Three Corners Hotel and between SuneoClub Reef Marsa and Jaz Grand Marsa there are small jetties, in the area of Jaz Lamaya there is another large jetty that was built especially for divers and snorkelers.

- The valley begins in the west of the holiday complex 2 Wādī Umm Garīfāt in the Red Sea Mountains, from which the Wādī Umm ʿAreik shows. The bay is two and a half kilometers northwest of the holiday complex 3 Umm Qalawa.
