Kenyan coast is the coastal region of Kenya on the Indian Ocean, extended from the border with Tanzania south to the one with the Somalia North.

To know

A long-established international seaside destination, the Costa del Kenya boasts white beaches bordered by palm trees worthy of appearing in the most classic postcards. The abundance of coral reefs serves as a draw for scuba diving and snorkeling enthusiasts. In the immediate hinterland there are parks and nature reserves that attract birdwatchers. Lazy travelers are content to stay in one of the many hotels on the coast north of Mombasa, the closest to the international airport, while the more adventurous and with more time at their disposal go to the small archipelago of Lamu, an exotic destination and in some ways still off the beaten path, despite the pounding publicity.
