- Apolobamba — [1] Apolobamba is a stretch of mountain range established as a protected area (Área Natural de Manejo Integrado Apolobamba). It includes the Ulla-Ulla nature reserve.

- Valle de las Ánimas - Another trekking opportunity a stone's throw from La Paz is offered by the valley of souls, about 10 km from the center towards E. The scenery is partly similar to that of the Valle de la Luna, with canyons carved by erosion , columns, spiers. There are two paths that can be followed: the Path of the Río Ovejuyo and the Trail of the Quebrada Negra.
