Dzierżoniów(German: Reichenbach in the Owl Mountains) is a mountain town in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship between the Owl Mountains and the Zobten Mountains, Mountain ranges of the Medium brews. The Hussite Wars and the Thirty Years War brought destruction and suffering to the population. In 1525 the monasteries were dissolved and the place went over to the Reformation, after 1648 the Counter Reformation began. In 1742/1763 the place came to Prussia. In the 19th century tourism began to develop, especially as the place began using in 1855 Świdnica. The place continued to develop, with the exception of the times of the world wars. In 1945 the place came to Poland.
