Ebersbach is a small town in Middle Alb foreland, it lies in the Filstal between Virgin forest and Swabian Alb.
background
The place Ebersbach was first mentioned in 1170. Ebersbach has belonged to Württemberg since 1274. Around the year 1477 the place got market rights. During the municipal reform in 1975, the towns of Büchenbronn, Bünzwangen, Krapfenreut, Roßwälden, Sulpach and Weiler ob der Fils were incorporated and Ebersbach was elevated to a town.
Ebersbach is located in the Stuttgart metropolitan region. Neighboring communities are Uhingen, Albershausen, Schlierbach, Lichtenwald, Hochdorf, Reichenbach an der Fils and Notzingen.
