Eutin is on the Lübeck railway line - Kiel. who of Hamburg If you arrive from, it is best to drive via Lübeck.

From Hamburg on the A1 autobahn over Lübeck to the Eutin junction (No. 15). From here you can get to the city via the B 76.

The city is connected to the "Güter-Tour Ostholstein" cycle network.

Tourist Attractions
- 1 Eutin Castle
with a moat was built in the 17th to 18th centuries. The castle park in the English style is the location of the Eutin Summer Festival. In the former stables East Holstein Museum his seat. - 2 Great Lake Eutin, about 4 km long lake east of the city. It'll be an hour Lake cruises offered. The Pheasant Island is privately owned, but is to be made accessible to the public.
- At the lake is the 1 historic swimming poolwith sunbathing lawn and gastronomy.
- 3 Eutin water tower viewpoint, it can be climbed. From the top you have a beautiful panoramic view of Eutin and the surrounding area (see also Webcam).

Eutin Festival
The annual "Eutin Festival Opera in the Castle Garden" are known far beyond Schleswig-Holstein. In 2016, from June 24th to August 13th, performances of the operas Carmen (Bizet / Merimée), Der Freischütz (von Weber) and The Bird Trader (Zeller) will be offered on the open-air stage in the palace gardens. For what is on offer, the prices are moderate: 16 to 58 euros. Location: Am Schlossgarten 7.

- Kellersee ride Boat tours are offered on the lake north of Eutin.
- 6 Bridegroom Oak: The 500-year-old oak can be found in the Dodauer Forest on the B76. The forest lies between Plön and Eutin. The tree serves as a public mailbox for finding a partner. The tree has had an official postal address since 1927: Bridegroom oak, Dodauer Forst, 23701 Eutin. Contact requests are filed by Swiss Post in a knot in the tree. - Bungsberg - highest elevation of Schleswig-Holstein with viewpoint. The mountain is about 12 km northeast of Eutin.
