How to orient yourself

Piazza Aurelio Saffi is the central square of Forlì. The Palazzo Comunale, the Abbey of San Mercuriale and the Palazzo del Podestà overlook it.

Via delle Torri connects piazza Saffi with piazza Ordelaffi dominated by the prefecture palace and the convent of Corpus Domini. The south side of the square is bordered by the side of the Cathedral of Santa Croce, the cathedral of Forlì. Corso Giuseppe Garibaldi starts from the vicinity of the cathedral and crosses the western sector of the center.

Corso della Repubblica starts from piazza Saffi and crosses the western section of the center called Borgo Cotogni. Corso Giuseppe Mazzini, the main artery of the center, also starts from Piazza Saffi. Its northeast extension is via Ravegnana which, as the name suggests, leads to Ravenna, 27 km away.
