  • September 1, 1939 - the Germans bombed the airport in Gołębia and the nearby lake. More than a dozen women who washed clothes and bedding in the lake, mistakenly considered paratroopers, died, including many children.
  • In the vicinity of the village, on the night of May 12-13, 1943, the soldiers of the Peasant Battalions attacked the German holiday train.
  • Near the village, on the night of September 12-13, 1943, the soldiers of the Peasant Battalions blew up a German ammunition train.
  • In the years 1975–1998 the town was administratively part of the Lubelskie Province.
