background
At the beginning of the 10th century, the area where you can find gardens today was cleared. The place "Gerendenrod" was first mentioned in 1108.
In 1328 the village came into the possession of the von Redwitz family, who resided in the valley in Wildenroth Castle. Then the place and the church came to the KulmbacherMargraves and in 1707 today's rectory was built.
