Lichtenfels is lying in Upper Mainland between the Franconian Forest and the Franconian Switzerland.
background
The Lichtenfelser are mocking Dümblschöbfä (Pond creator) called. The name comes from the Thirty Years' War, when they sank a treasure in a pond and later wanted to retrieve it by scooping up the water. However, they did not make it because the groundwater flowed in too quickly.

- 1 Assumption Day. The parish church is located at Kirchplatz 2 in Lichtenfels (Upper Franconia). Her choir was built between 1483 and 1487. The nave was added between 1517 and 1544.

Baroque monastery complex of the former Cistercian monastery. - 11 Schney Castle. The castle was built around 1680 to 1690 instead of an older castle complex as the residence and administrative seat of the von Schaumberg family.
- 12 Nassanger Manor. The large farm has a ring-shaped floor plan with large dung heaps in the middle, a unique architectural experiment.
