The town Weismain lies in the Franconian Switzerland, along the river Weismain and is the entrance to the romantic Kleinziegenfelder valley.

- Parish church St. Martin, Kirchplatz 2, three-aisled hall from the 15th century, retracted choir, tower around 1500, renovations from 1890/91
- Way chapel, about 150 meters from the Upper Gate, 18th century
- Kreuzkapelle, Burgweg 21, built 1702-1705 by Hans Michael Schrimlinhard, to the Kreuzkapelle there is a way of the cross with 7 wayside shrines made of sandstone (Burgweg).

The town hall
Many of the other houses around the Weismainer Marktplatz have buildings from the 16th century. The upper floors mostly consist of half-timbering and date from the 17th or 18th century. What all buildings have in common is the ground floor, made entirely of sandstone blocks, with an often arched entrance gate.

- The area is predestined for hike, there are various hiking trails that can be combined depending on the time and condition.
- The Small goat fields valley has a lot to offer: the juniper slopes and the Weismain spring near Kleinziegenfeld, a multitude of rock formations and viewpoints with a view of the Weismain, which meanders in the valley.

- Thurnau (17 km southeast) - market town on the eastern edge of Franconian Switzerland; Thurnau Castle and St. Laurentius Church.
- Hollfeld (21 km south, via Kleinziegenfeld and Stadelhofen) - located in the middle of northern Franconian Switzerland; Blue tower with museum and artist studio.
