El-Gīza or el-Gise (Dumbbell: Gise (h), Arabic:الجيزة, al-Ǧīza, Egyptian-Arabic: ig-Gīza) is a city to the west of Cairo on the western bank of the Nile. The city is the administrative seat of the eponymous Governorates. With around 3 million inhabitants, it is the third largest city in Egypt. The city with some museums, including that Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), and Parks is mainly responsible for giving the Giza pyramid complex known, which is now located right on the outskirts due to the city's growth.

getting there
In the street
In the west of the city trunk roads begin after Upper Egypt and the desert highway to Alexandria.

There are microbus stops in the el-Haram district Alexandria, Abū Rawāsch and Saqqara.
By train
El-Gīza owns the 11 El-Gīza train station at the line Cairo–Aswan.
With the metro
With the metro, Line 2, are just the neighborhoods ed-Doqqi and el-Gīza reachable. The breakpoints are: 12 El Dokki, 13 El Bohooth, 14 Cairo University, 15 Faisal, 16 Giza Railway, 17 Around El Masriyeen (Giza Suburban), 18 Sakkeyat Mekki and 19 El Mounib.

Archaeological sites
