Hammersmith and Fullham are two districts located in the western area of London.
To know
This is a very large district within London and not surprisingly home to 3 Premier League football teams.
The best known area is probably Shepherd's Bush which for a long time was the reception area for several generations of immigrants. Today, however, this is no longer the case after the area has undergone severe gentrification, restructuring and development.
Culturally Shepherd's Bush is known as the area where the BBC resided, with the television center located on Wood Lane in the White City sub-district. Members of two very influential musical groups, The Who and the Sex Pistols, lived here. This area is also home to the Queen Park Rangers football team.
Elsewhere in the district, the riverside area of Fulham has been heavily gentrified to the point that it's hard to tell where Chelsea ends and begins. Here it is home to the football teams Fulham FC, and Chelsea FC.

By bus
Bus 94 makes the Piccadilly Circus route, passing Oxford Street, Notting Hill, Holland Park, Shepherd's Bush and Chiswick to Acton Green (also does night service).
Other lines in the area are: 11, 14, 22, 28, 74, 190, 211, 295, 391, 414, 430, and the night buses N11, N22 and N28, all stop in Fulham.
On the train
The train station of 13 Shepherds Bush it is served by three trains per hour traveling between Clapham Junction and Willesden Junction. One train every hour that travels between Milton Keynes and East Croydon.
By car
The A219 connects Fulham with the A205 (South Circular) and the A4.

The Gatehouse, the gatehouse of Fulham Palace

It was once the holiday residence of the Bishop of London which today incorporates Bishop's Park, a very beautiful green area in a densely built area. It is also a museum on the history of the palace since the 11th century. Inside there is also a cafeteria. 
- 3 Gandhi's Student Accommodation, 20 Baron's Court Road, W14 9DT (underground: West Kensington). A blue plaque marks the house where Mahatma Gandhi lived when he was a law student.
- 4 Hurlingham Park (subway: Putney Bridge). A large park with a large amount of sports fields. A nice view of the river and therefore a nice place to walk.
- 5 Kensal Green Cemetery (Kensal Green Cemetery), Harrow Road, W10 4RA (underground: Kensal Green), ☎ 44 20 8969 0152, fax: 44 20 8960 9744. One of the "Seven Magnificent" Victorian cemeteries in London.
- 6 Queens Club, Palliser Road, W14 9EQ (underground: Barons Court or West Kensington), ☎ 44 20 7386 3400. Mon-Sun 07: 00-20: 00. It hosts the tennis warm-up tournament before the Wimbledon tournament. This imposing Victorian structure is also home to badminton and squash courts. A new National Tennis Center it was built further afield in Rowhampton.
- 7 Ravenscourt Park (Ravenscourt Park), Padderswick Road (underground: Ravencourt Park). An eight hectare park with a long history, located in Hammersmith. There is also a lake, a tea room, a tennis court, a football court, a bowling alley and an area to relax, a nursery and some very old trees, especially cedars.
- 8 Wormwood Scrubs (The Scrubs) (subway: East Acton). One of the largest green areas in London. It contains various soccer fields.

Football

Stamford Bridge they organize guided tours even if the tickets are very expensive, as are the prices in the gift shop. One of the most popular teams and consequently tickets are hard to find. The stadium has an illustrious history dating back to the birth of the team.

Westfield Shopping Center
Shopping in this area is interesting because the offer ranges from street markets to luxury shops inside the largest European shopping centers.
- 1 Fulham Broadway (above Fulham Broadway tube station). Small shopping center built around the metro station of the same name. Inside there is a supermarket, some restaurants and cafes as well as other shops, a cinema and a pub.

A London street market with good character and few tourists, open since the 1480s. Good place for affordable fruit and vegetables, home decor and other accessories.
- 4 Shepherds Bush Market (Shepherds Bush Market), Between Uxbridge Road and Goldhawk Road (underground: Shepherd's Bush Market or Goldhawk Road). A huge choice of products with Afro-Caribbean, Middle Eastern and Indian influences.
- 5 Westfield Shopping Center (Westfield Shopping Center), Ariel Way, W12 7GF (underground: Shepherd's Bush), ☎ 44 20 3371 2300. Mon-Sat 10: 00-22: 00; Sun 12: 00-18: 00. The largest shopping center in Europe that contains many shops, including the "The Village" section with designer shops selling Prada, Luis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Jimmy Choo etc. Great choice of restaurants and a Vue multiplex cinema on the top floor.
How to have fun
Shepherds Bush Green it hosts many pub chains. Uxbridge Road is Goldhawk Road they have quieter bars and gastro-pubs. Fulham it is full of very popular classy pubs, some of which overlook the Thames.

Where to eat
There are tons of good independent restaurants in Fulham along the main streets. For the chains instead you have to go to Putney Street. A good idea is generally to walk along the streets and choose the one that appeals to us.

Uxbridge Road it stands out for good restaurants at a good price.

Where stay
Shepherd's Bush and Hammersmith are known as the areas of budget hotels (some of them low quality unfortunately) and B & Bs. With the gradual gentrification of the area, more expensive options are appearing.
