Isenhagen women's monastery
  • Isenhagen Abbey (Klosterstraße 2) unfinished early Gothic monastery church and unfinished cloister (was somehow "screwed up".) Additions from the 18th century. Interesting arrangement of the monastery church (Renaissance and Gothic), with a guide.
  • Isenhagen Abbey Museum (separate entry!)
  • Otter Center Hankensbüttel (Sudendorfallee 1) Be sure to visit the feedings, otherwise you won't see much of the animals (and not just otters). The feeding takes place every 15 minutes at changing stations. You basically run after the zoo keeper, who explains more about the animals and answers questions. After a good two very entertaining hours, you have visited all the stations. Admission: 8.50 EUR, the usual reductions (see website), open until 6 p.m., in winter until 5 p.m. Closed December and January.
