Jędrzejów is a historic city in the voivodeship Holy Cross on the medieval trade route from Krakow to Kielce. To the west it closes Krakow-Czestochowa Jura and northeast that Heiligkreuzgebirge at. The place is best known for its Romanesque Cistercian monastery from 1149, which is one of the most important monasteries of this order in Poland. The monastery building was expanded to include Gothic and Baroque architectural elements. The place is on the Way of the Cistercians.
