Koszalin is a big city in the polish Voivodeship West Pomerania. It is not far from the Baltic beach, a few kilometers inland on Kösliner Mühlenbach as well as two beach lakes Jamund lake. Koszalin can be used as a base for excursions to the various seaside resorts at the Slowinsian coast to explore. Even if much of the city's structural fabric was destroyed in the Second World War, the rebuilt and restored old town is known for its brick Gothic. Koszalin is on the European Brick Gothic Way and on the Way of the Cistercians.

- Gdansk Airport at Danzig, Direct connection by train 3 hours; some connections with a change in Gdynia are faster.
- Poznan Airport at Poses, Travel time by train just under 5 hours with a change in Stargard or Białogard
By train
- There is good integration into the Polish long-distance traffic. Connections to Germany mostly lead over Szczecin and Berlin; even the fastest connections Vienna lead over Berlin. The fastest connections to Warsaw lead over Stargard and require 7 1/2 hours of travel time. The direct connection to Szczecin takes 2 1/2 hours.
- To the regional rail hub Białogard the train takes 20 minutes.
By bus
The central bus station is located at the main train station and is served by numerous bus companies from home and abroad.
In the street
Koszalin is on the S6 expressway from Szczecin to Gdynia and can therefore be reached quickly and easily from Berlin or Gdansk.
By boat
Ferry ports are located in Swinoujscie, Gdynia and Danzig.

The city center can easily be explored on foot. Otherwise there is also a well-developed public transport network that connects the more distant parts of the city to the city center.
