background
In 1121 Pomerania was given to the Polish King Bolesław III. Wrymouth conquered and annexed Poland. As part of the seniority constitution, West Pomerania came to grips in 1138. After 1181, West Pomerania broke away from Poland. In the 14th century, the Brandenburg and later the Teutonic Order ruled the region, which after the Peace of Thorn in 1466 was again a fiefdom under Polish-Lithuanian highness. After the fiefs died out, the area came directly to Poland-Lithuania in 1637 and became part of the Pomeranian Voivodeship. In 1657 the Polish-Lithuanian king gave the Brandenburg area as a fief. With the first partition of Poland in 1772, the region came to Prussia. In 1945 she came back to Poland.
