Lautenbach is a community in Renchtal with around 2,000 inhabitants. Lautenbach is very attractive to tourists as a climatic health resort with its wine and fruit growing areas. Lautenbach's landmark is the late Gothic pilgrimage church "Mariä Krönung", built between 1471 and 1488.

Lautenbach's landmark is the late Gothic pilgrimage church "Maria Krönung", which was built between 1471 and 1488. Despite various unusual components (chapel of grace and rood screen), the interior surprises with its perfect harmony. This effect is the result of the unchanged building structure and the almost complete original equipment. Art lovers will find exquisite architectural masterpieces in a very small space. The master builder Hans Hertwig designed rooms with net vaults that are second to none.
