Lezajsk is a city northeast of Rzeszów in the voivodeship Subcarpathian in the south East Poland, on the border with Ukraine, at the river San at the foot of the Forest Carpathians.

Leżajsk is one of the oldest cities in south-eastern Poland. Leżajsk received its town charter in 1397 from King Władysław Jagiełło. There is a basilica and a Bernardine monastery in Leżajsk. There is one of the most famous and largest organs in the country. The instrument, built in 1693, is the oldest baroque organ in Poland and has 5900 pipes. The monastery was built at the beginning of the 17th century by the Italian master builder Pellacini. Every summer the International Festival of Organ and Chamber Music takes place in the basilica of the Bernardine Monastery.

Leżajsk is a pilgrimage center for Hasidic Jews who make pilgrimages to the tomb of Elimelech Weisblum, one of the most important representatives of the Hasidic movement.

The famous beer is made in the local brewery Lezajsk brewed.

The closest international airport is in Rzeszów (Rzeszów Airport). Traveling by bus from Rzeszów is quick and cheap. The road connection to Rzeszów is good. The place can also be reached by train from Lublin or Przeworsk can be achieved.
