Lhazê or Lhatse, also Quxar or Chushar, is a city in Tibet.

The town Lhazê is a district town in the administrative district Xigazê and is divided into two parts. The new modern city based on the Chinese pattern is different from the old rural district (coordinates: 29 ° 9 '37 "N.87 ° 41 '23 "E) around 10 km away, with the Tibetan river flowing in between Yarlung Zangbothat at its lower reaches Brahmaputra called. The new town of Lhazê hardly offers anything worth seeing. The picturesque old town is dominated by the ruins of a dzong.
Surroundings
The Phuntsoling Monastery is one of the monuments of the People's Republic of China. It is on a hill about 1 km from the Yarlung Zangbo away, above are the remains of a dzong.
