What see

  • National Museum of Locri, Contrada Musarà. The National Museum of Locri Epizefiri, inaugurated in 1971, is located within the archaeological area and is located near a votive deposit dedicated to the fulminating Zeus. Inside are the finds of the most recent excavations in the area while those of the first excavations are exhibited in the National Museum of Magna Graecia in Reggio Calabria. The museum itinerary unfolds on two floors: on the ground floor there are finds from the archaeological excavations of the ancient Magno-Greek polis while on the first floor there are finds from prior to Greek colonization and dating back to the Iron Age.
  • 1 Roman theatre, Contrada Pirettina. It was built in the 1st century BC. on the original Greek layout of the 4th century BC; it is the most important testimony of the Romanization of the city, which was transformed into a municipium, gradually losing its importance. Over time numerous alterations, not clearly dated, followed one another. It was brought to light in 1940 by Paolo Enrico Arias; the excavations were completed in 1957 by Alfonso De Franciscis.
