What to do

The region is home to both the sea and the mountains, so it can be visited both in summer (seaside tourism) and in winter (ski tourism), with cities such as Reggio Calabria that can be visited all year round (although there are numerous bathing establishments that encourage you to visit it more in the summer months); summer tourism is, however, the one that moves the largest number of people, also due to the high number of Calabrians who emigrated to other parts of Italy and abroad who return to the region for the holidays (which also leads to the number of events in the summer months, especially in August).

In 2020 the Cycle route of the parks of Calabria, a route of 545 km between the four parks of Calabria to be covered by bicycle.
