Reggio is located on the tip of the "Boot" and can enjoy the view of the Sicily and of Aeolian IslandsThe municipality of Reggio is identified as the most westerly of the region and is, together with Athens, Cordoba, San Francisco, Seoul is Smyrna, cut from the 38th parallel.
Along the coast it is possible to admire, on hottest days, the Mirage, an optical illusion that makes the other part of the Strait of Messina closer than it actually is.

If you reach the airport by car, the parking is subject to charges. Punta Raisi airport operates national and international flights, and various connections low cost. - "Italo Falcomatà" waterfront (Seafront). Defined as "the most beautiful kilometer in Italy", it allows access to the beach and offers a view that goes from the Strait of Messina toEtna. Opposite the promenade, across the street, there are ice cream parlors, bars, some modern sculptures made by students of the city's Academy of Fine Arts and some Greek and Roman ruins. The Reggio di Calabria Lido railway station allows direct access to the seafront for travelers from other cities.
