Regions:
- Halkidiki - The most touristic of the Central Macedonia regions. It includes three peninsulas, the easternmost of which is the Monastic Republic of Mount Athos.

- Pella - Region bordering on North Macedonia, characterized by very green landscapes and an abundance of water. It takes its name from an ancient Macedonian city that was the birthplace of Alexander the Great.

Central Macedonia also includes the autonomous region of Mount Athos.
Urban centers
- 1 Edessa - Town among beautiful green landscapes characterized by an abundance of waterfalls and streams.
- 2 Katerini - Capital of the Pieria, Katerini it is located a couple of km away from a famous stretch of coast called Csta Olimpica.
- 3 Litochoro (Λιτόχωρο) - The village from where the ascent to Mount Olympus begins. The park offices are located there.
- 4 Ouranoupoli - Port of the Halkidiki where we usually embark at a time of Mount Athos.
- 5 Thessaloniki - Second city of the Greece.

- 7 Veria - Capital of the Emazia.

- 1 Olympus (Όλυμπος) - The highest mountain in Greece (2917 m a.s.l.), believed to be the home of the gods in ancient times, has been a national park since 1938 that welcomes crowds of hikers every year.
Archaeological sites
- 2 Dion (Δίον) - Archaeological site of the 4th century BC among evocative landscapes dominated by the bulk of Mount Olympus.
- 3 Pella - Archaeological site of an ancient Macedonian city which was the birthplace of Alexander the Great.
- 4 Vergina (Βεργίνα) - Important archaeological site of the first capital of ancient Macedonia (Aigai), where in 1977 the tomb of Philip II, father of Alexander the Great, was discovered.

By car
Central Macedonia is crossed by two major highways:
that goes from Athens up to the Evzoni border crossing with the North Macedonia.
