Tourist Attractions
activities
shop
- Talat Rim Moei (ตลาด ริม เมย). Covered market located on the banks of the Moei border river in the immediate vicinity of the border crossing and the “Friendship Bridge”. Wide range of products from cheap (mainly Chinese) plastic products and electrical appliances as well as pirated CDs and DVDs to food, textiles, wood carvings and teak goods to gold jewelry and precious stones (especially jade and garnet). Also popular with Thais looking for bargains.
kitchen
- Khao Mao Khao Fang (ข้าวเม่า ข้าวฟ่าง), about 3 kilometers north of the city on the national road 105. Upscale restaurant with Thai cuisine. The restaurant is surrounded by a green oasis and also decorated inside with trees and plants, so that you feel like you are in a (but quite civilized and well-kept) jungle.
