shop

There are a few shops selling souvenirs such as wood, leather, gold, ceramics and pottery, as well as a market and a night market. The BIG C shopping mall is located on Highway 12 between Sukhothai City and Sukhothai Historical Park.

kitchen

There are plenty of restaurants and food stalls in Sukhothai. In addition to Thai cuisine, there are also many restaurants with an international focus. Some restaurants with international cuisine are run by Europeans. Chinese cuisine is also common in Sukhothai.

Around the roundabout with the clock tower there are daily food stalls in the side streets and also a "food hall" in which many food providers are gathered.

nightlife

Since Sukhothai is not a big city, the nightlife is relatively modest. There is usually live music or karaoke bars nearby or in the larger hotels.

accommodation

Hotels and guest houses are plentiful in Sukhothai City. We recommend the guest houses, as they are mostly inexpensive and clean accommodations.

There are also a number of accommodations in the old town, in the immediate vicinity of the history park. Those who are primarily interested in visiting the ancient cities should consider this in order to save the transfer from the new town. See under Sukhothai Historical Park # Accommodation.
