Geographical notes
It is a cone-shaped mountain complex formed by three peaks: Gonare (1,083 meters), Gonareddu (1,045 meters) and Punta Lotzori (976 meters). The mountain is made up of limestone rocks, while in the areas surrounding the mountain there are outcrops of compact and coarse-grained light gray granites.

By car
Take the Strada Statale 131 d.c.n. up to the main entrance of Nuoro, do not enter the city but follow the signs for Tortolì and take the State Road 389 Var Nuoro-Lanusei until the exit "Orani-Oniferi-Sarule", here turn right and continue until the crossroads of Monte Gonare, then turn left. At a crossroads there are two roads one that goes down and the other that goes up, take the one that goes up to get to your destination.
From the ports of Olbia- White Island, Golfo Aranci is Tortolì-Arbatax or from the ports of Porto Torres is Cagliari.
