Humor Monastery is a monastic settlement located in Suceava county, Moldavia, Romania.
About
Humor Monastery was built in 1530 by the great logopath Toader Bubuiog. The monastery ensemble (the church "Assumption" and "St. George", the ruins of the monastery houses, the bell tower and the tower of Vasile Lupu) has been on the list of historical monuments in Suceava County since 2015.
The monastery church
The place of prayer was built in the triconch plan, with side apses, but without towers. Built in the Moldavian style, this place of prayer has several distinctive features that distinguish it from the churches erected during the reign of Stephen the Great; thus: the lack of the tower above the nave, the open porch and the secret (new space superimposed on the tomb room). The base of the building is made of large pieces of carved stone, and the three apses are decorated with elongated niches. The roof, covered with fir bark, is high, with a sloping break, extends above the apses and forms a wide eaves. The interior is divided into five rooms: the porch, the narthex, the tomb, the nave and the altar. The church of Humor Monastery was adorned, both outside and inside, with frescoes, of chromatic tone, predominating shades of red, a color specific to this church.
The United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) included in 1993 the church "Assumption" and "St. Gheorghe ”of the Humor Monastery on the list of world cultural heritage.

The monastic settlement is located in the village of Mănăstirea Humorului in Suceava County, 81 km away. distance from Vatra Dornei (by DN17 / E58), on the route: Iacobeni- Valea Putnei - Pojorâta - Vama - Gura Humorului - Mănăstirea Humorului.
