Nîmes is a city in the region Languedoc-Roussillon.
To know
Known in Roman times as Nemausus, Nîmes is famous for its amphitheater erected at the time of Augustus and which has survived to this day in perfect condition. The city is affected by the atmosphere of neighboring Spain and today the Roman arena is the scene of bullfights. In conjunction with the bullfighting, the streets of Nîmes come alive with music and dance and are filled with bodegas where you can taste the sangría.

By plane
- 1 Nîmes Garons Airport. Nîmes has a small airport at the center of an investigation by the European Commission for the use of EU funds. The majority of flights are operated by Ryanair (London, Nottingham, Liverpool, Brussels, Fès).
On the train
- 2 Railway station (Gare de Nîmes). Station served by French high-speed trains (TGV) from Paris, Brussels and directed to Montpellier/Perpignan. Also served by Spanish high-speed trains (AVE) coming from Lyon is Marseille and directed respectively to Barcelona-Sants and Madrid-Atocha
