getting there

By plane

The airport Frankfurt (FRA) is southwest of Frankfurt am Main. From here you can either get to Oberursel by car or by S-Bahn.

By train

From Frankfurt main train station, south train station and city center you can reach Oberursel train station with the S 5 (Direction: Bad Homburg / Friedrichsdorf) in approx. 20 minutes. In Frankfurt Central Station, the train leaves from the underground station. During rush hour the Taunusbahn (Direction: Grävenwiesbach / Brandoberndorf) to Oberursel. The trains depart from the long-distance platforms in Frankfurt Central Station, the journey time here is also 20 minutes.

In addition, the tram line runs from Frankfurt city center and the Südbahnhof U 3(Direction: Oberursel-Hohemark) Oberursel, the journey takes 25 minutes.

From the airport you choose the S 8 or S 9 (Direction: Hanau Hbf) to Frankfurt Central Station.

In the street

Oberursel can be reached via the A5 and A661 motorways, which are connected to each other at the Bad Homburger Kreuz. There are two exits on the A661: "Oberursel" and "Oberursel Nord".

From Frankfurt Airport, Oberursel can be reached via the A3, both via the Frankfurter Kreuz and the Offenbacher Kreuz. If you choose the latter route, you can drive straight through to one of the exits on the A661. If you drive over the Frankfurter Kreuz, you should switch to the A661 at the Bad Homburger Kreuz.
