El-Qusiya (Arabic:القوصية, al-Qūṣīya, the ancient Cusae (Kusae, Qusae), ancient Egyptian Qjs, Coptic: Ⲕⲱⲥ, Kos) is a city in Middle Egypt in the north of the governorate Asyūṭ. Almost 70,000 people live in the city.

The city of el-Qūṣīya is located in the north of the Asyūṭ governorate and is also the administrative center of the district of el-Qūṣīya. The city is about halfway between Mallawī and Asyūṭ, each about 50 kilometers away. In 2006 there were 69,388 inhabitants in the city,[1] in the district 361.130.
