Rabac - Rabac

Rabac (Italian: Porto Albona) is a Croatian village in Istria, is a large resort on the Gulf of Kvarner just southeast of labin.

Long a small fishing port with only three dozen houses, Rabac has grown in recent years into a seaside resort with many villas and apartment buildings.

The Rabac Festival is an annual electronic music festival. 3000 people attended it in 2002.

To sleep

Three large hotels and a camping site are located on the first beach. Along the 'Riva' apartments are available for rent. Along the second beach and Girandella countelss hotels are located, special attention also to the locally famous Albona hotel.

Tourist activity

Concerts are regularly held on the beach of Rabac and in the surrounding hotels. Magic turns out to be widespread at night, like its comedians. Tourist expeditions to Venice, Dubrovnik and Krka are possible. The communal buses run daily at 1 and 3 am. Fishing routes are also common and cost about 100 kuna.
