Geographical notes
Rauris is a country of Pinzgau (or district of Zell am See) in SalzburgerLand. The village is located at the foot of the Sonnblick, on the banks of the Rauriser river, in the heart of the Hohe Tauren nature park.

The closest airport to Rauris is that of Salzburg.
By car
To reach the town by car, leave the B311 freeway a Taxenbach and follow the signs for the Raurisertal following the course of the Rauriser Ache.
On the train
From the station of Taxenbach-Rauris you need to take a bus (Bus 640) to get to Rauris. For info visit the site ÖBB in Italian.
By bus
It is possible to reach Rauris with the line 640 of the SVV buses (Salzburger Verkehrs Verbund). For info on timetables consult the website of svv available in German or English.

Beyond the line 640 with terminus Bucheben, it is possible to move around the municipality of Rauris with:
- the line 641 from Bucheben in Kolm-Saigurn (SVV)

Winter: Mon, Wed, Fri from 15 to 18, Summer: Mon, Tue, Wed, Fri, Sat from 10 to 12 and from 15 to 18. With 16 rooms with exhibits on the history of the valley. - 2 King of the skies (exhibition of the high tauern national park), Wörth. Winter: Wed 16-18; Summer: 10 am-6pm. Interactive exhibition on avifauna specimens living in the valley such as the Bearded Vulture which was reintroduced in the valley starting from 1980.
- 3 Zimmererhütte, Kolm Saigurn (after the toll road you have to take a bus or continue for a short distance on foot). Free admission. Mid June-October: Sunday to Friday open from 10am to 4pm, Saturdays from 12pm to 4pm. Exhibition on the High Tauern National Park from the time of gold mining.

- Summer
During the summer it is possible to go hiking in the mountains thanks to the Funicular of which the country is provided. For the complete list of trails see the specific page.
In several places in the municipality (Bodenhaus, Sportalm and Heimalm) it is also possible to search for gold in the rivers of the area.

Shopping
Most of the shops are located on Marktstraße (including the Billa supermarket), the Spar (supermarket) is located on Sportstraße. It is important to know that all the shops close early in the evening and that practically all (including the supermarkets and the bakery) are closed on Sundays.
