South of Zell am See offers the Hohe Tauern National Park many attractive excursion destinations.
That is especially worthwhile Grossglockner High Alpine Road (for a fee, you should plan a whole day for a leisurely ride) and a tour to the two reservoirs Wasserfallboden and Moserboden (only accessible by shuttle bus / inclined elevator).
