Right is a place in Ahr Valley and belongs to the Verbandsgemeinde Altenahr and thus to the Ahrweiler district, Rhineland-Palatinate. First documented mention in 1140. Main sources of income are viticulture and tourism. For tips for cyclists cf. Mayschoss.

getting there

Remote connections of the train (RE, IC, etc.) can go up Remagen be used, there change to the Ahrtalbahn direction Altenahr-Ahrbrück to stopping point Rech.

bicycle: Ahr cycle path

Car: A 61 or A 565 to the Meckenheim interchange, continue on the B 257 in the direction Altenahr. 2 km after the end of the expressway, turn left towards county-Esch. Then follow the signs to Dernau (the route is narrow and winding). In Dernau right onto the B 267 towards Altenahr. After 1 km you will reach Rech.

Larger cars, mobile homes, camping teams: A 61 to the Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler motorway junction, there change to the A 573 direction Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. Exit the Ahrweiler / Altenahr junction. Continue on the B 267 direction Altenahr. After 9 km you will reach Rech.

mobility

train: Every half hour there are train connections with the Ahr Valley Railway in the direction of Remagen and Altenahr-Ahrbrück. Bicycles can be taken.

bus: Regular connections along the Ahr valley to neighboring towns Dernau, Mayschoss, Altenahr, Walporzheim and Bad Neuenahr-Ahrweiler. Bicycles can be taken.

directly on the Ahr. No supply and disposal, no electricity, officially € 5 per night, but in the November-March low season there is often no control or "collection". The campsite was abandoned a few years ago because it was often affected by floods from the Ahr.
