The Zurich region is located in the German-speaking part of Switzerland, so in everyday life only the German language is used, in the oral language the dialect is the Züridütsch.

Urban centers
- Zurich - One of the major cities in Switzerland.
- Cham - It houses the historic headquarters of the Nestlé multination company.
- Regensberg - The smallest town in Switzerland founded in 1244.
- Uster - Includes part of the Greifensee lake.
- Winterthur - Historic city in which there are four castles nearby.
- Zug (Zug) - Medieval town located on Lake Zug and at the foot of the Zugerberg mountain.
How to get
By plane
L'Zurich International Airport (IATA ZRH) is located north of the city of Zurich. Numerous airlines fly there to destinations around the world. It is well connected by train to most cities in the region.
On the train
Zurich Hauptbahnhof (the main railway station) is an international station with trains arriving from France, Italy, Austria, Germany, and beyond.

By bus
Zurich locals take great pride in their tram services, they are excellent for getting around the city. ZVV includes the S-bahn, which is great for getting around the Canton of Zurich region.

The city of Zurich has two local festivals Sechseläuten (almost always on the third Monday of April) e Knabenschiessen (Monday after the second weekend in September) which are unofficially observed as half day city breaks with many businesses closed after 1pm.
