Territories and tourist destinations
There are four administrative departments facing the Pacific Ocean. Below is the list:
Chocó Department - In addition to the Pacific side, the Chocó department also overlooks the Caribbean Sea.
Department of Nariño - The southernmost of the Pacific departments and now on the border with theEcuador.
Urban centers
- Bahía Solano - Tourist and economic center of the coast.
- Barbacoas - Founded by Francisco de Praga y Zuniga in 1600.
- Buenaventura - The main Colombian port on the Pacific.
- Cali - The main economic, industrial and financial center of the southwest of the Colombia.
- Guadalajara de Buga - Famous for its Basilica Menor del Señor de los Milagros.
- Guapi - Located on the river of the same name a few kilometers from the ocean.
- Nuquí - It has beautiful beaches and some being perfect for surfing.
- Popayán - It has numerous architectural structures of interest.
- Quibdó - Capital of the Chocó department.
- San Andrés de Tumaco - Port city.
- Timbiquí - Located in department of Cauca.
