Horseheads is a community in Ostallgäu.

Rosshaupten is located in the foothills of the Alps on the northern bank of the Forggen lake. A number of hamlets and farms still belong to the community of Roßhaupten. The neighboring towns Lechbruck, Halbch, Vineyards, Seeg and Stötten also belong to the district of Ostallgäu, the neighboring one Bernbeuren belongs to Upper Bavarian Weilheim-Schongau district.

- 2 Storage power plant Roßhaupten (Hydropower information center), Forggenseestraße 100, 87672 Roßhaupten. Tel.: 49 (0) 81 91 - 32 81 01. The Forggensee was created by damming the Lech. The dam wall is 320 m long and up to 41 m high, the crown width is 10 m. The name Forggensee comes from the small town Forggen, which has completely disappeared in the lake. The power station is below the dam. It was commissioned in 1954 and has a nominal output of 45.5 MW.
