Halbch is a community in Ostallgäu, it is due to the German Alpine Road and the Romantic road.
background
The community 114 was created in 1976 through the amalgamation of the formerly independent communities Booking and Trauchgau. A total of 32 districts belong to the community. Halfchurch is not far from the Forggensee and the Bannwaldsee, a large part of the municipality is in Ammergebirge nature reserve. The name of the place refers to the halch mountain stream, which comes from the Ammergau Alps and flows into the Premer Lechsee.
Neighbors to the west are Horseheads and Schwangau in the Ostallgäu district. Lying in the north Prem, Steingaden and Wildsteig, they belong to the district of Weilheim-Schongau. The district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the village are to the east of Halchch Saulgrub, in the south the municipality extends to the Austrian border.
