The province Sainyabuli(ໄຊ ຍະ ບູ ລີ) is to the west of Laos on the border to Thailand.

From Thailand you can enter via a border crossing south of Kenthao. Visas on arrival are available there. There are direct buses to and from Luang Prabang, which take 3.5 to 5 hours for the partly unpaved road. There is a VIP bus to Vientiane.
