Understand
Most of the region is covered by the Alps, only the northern part is flat. We find there Salzburg, the largest city and the state capital. The most important sources of income are tourism and agriculture. The arts are an important part of Salzburg's tradition, including the House of Mozart, the annual Salzburg Festival, and performances of the mystery. Jedermann. The state of Salzburg also shares much of its regional and provincial culture with the Bavaria and the Tyrol neighbors. This makes it a wonderful place to discover both for the culture of the Mozart era and for the authentic Austrian Alpine culture.
