Sasbachwalden is a Kneipp and climatic health resort on the edge of the Ortenau. The municipality extends from the Rhine plain over the foothills of the Northern Black Forest to the Hornisgrinde.

Sasbachwalden is located on the western slope of the Black Forest. With its listed town center describes itself "Saschwalle" as Flower and wine village. Repeated awards in district and state competitions prove this. Vines and fruit trees thrive, there are extensive forest areas, but no industry. The place at the Baden Wine Route became a climatic health resort in 1969, a Kneipp health resort in 1979 and has also been a climatic health resort since 2005.

In addition to the core town, the municipality of Sasbachwalden includes the hamlets Brandmatt, Bischenberg and Hohritt as well as several other hamlets and farms.
