Scheffau is a tourist municipality in the Austrian district of Kufstein at the foot of the Wild Emperor in the State of Tyrol.. This is an introduction to the mountain and ski region on the Wilder Kaiser. The place is particularly well attended in the winter season, as evidenced by the approx. 2,000 guest beds in the place. Due to the good motorway connection, Scheffau is often approached by day tourists from Germany.
The connecting road between Wögl and St. Johann in Tirol runs through the village. The town center, however, is 700 m uphill.

Danger: The 5 km long, previously toll-free section of the Inntal motorway from the German border near Kiefersfelden to the "Kufstein-Süd" motorway exit will also have a toll from December 1, 2013! (10-day vignette).

- In the valley of the village there are two Godel cable cars that can be used to reach the Brandstadl in the "Skiwelt" ski area. There is a large parking lot directly at the valley station of the cable cars.
- Cross-country trails are also groomed daily in the village.
- On Wednesdays, the tourist association organizes social evenings with music, a campfire and mulled wine on the village square next to the elementary school.
