Schiltach is a small town in the upper Kinzigtal in the Middle Black Forest. It is at the confluence of the small river Schiltach in the Tiny.

The medieval city center of Schiltach forms the historical backdrop, but the small town on the Kinzig is a modern industrial location. The world-famous Hansgrohe company has its headquarters here and BBS International produces light alloy wheels for motorsport here, but Schiltach has still remained a state-recognized climatic health resort. The much smaller former municipality also belongs to Schiltach Fiefdom as well as several hamlets and farms.

Schiltach is located on the Kinzig Valley Railway, which runs from Offenburg to Freudenstadt leads. The route is from the Ortenau S-Bahn Line 720/721 operated.
