background
The medieval city center of Schiltach forms the historical backdrop, but the small town on the Kinzig is a modern industrial location. The world-famous Hansgrohe company has its headquarters here and BBS International produces light alloy wheels for motorsport here, but Schiltach has still remained a state-recognized climatic health resort. The much smaller former municipality also belongs to Schiltach Fiefdom as well as several hamlets and farms.
